Jan's beads are made using a torch which mixes oxygen and propane to produce a hot enough flame to melt glass. Jan uses a Minor Bench Burner torch. The glass she uses is from Italy called Moretti and It comes in rod form in many colors of clear and opaque glass. Sometimes she incorporates silver leaf into her beads to produce a mysterious effect. Jan uses tradtional kumihimo silk for her necklaces.
